Abstract Mixed Media Alcohol Ink Abstract Painting "Rainy Day" "by New Orleans Artist Lou Jordan

"Rainy Day" is another of the Tiny Gems series that I created before Christmas to give to loved ones. It was glued to a w/c paper card. I then signed it and sent it of to one of our many family members and friends. I started one or two and kept on going until I had finished 100! (big family). I could do about 20 at a sitting - and it was addictive! They got better and better the more I did - so it was hard to stop. I took photos of them all before I sent them off so at least I still have the image. If you fall in love with them, I can do lots more - just let me know.
They will all be different but I can keep to the same color palette.

They make great cards for special people. $25 or 6 for $100.

Abstract Mixed Media Alcohol Ink Abstract Painting "Quarry"by New Orleans Artist Lou Jordan

FRESH OFF THE EASEL....

I almost called this ink painting "On the Rocks" but decided it was a bit more serious than that! Another great blue painting. I'm adhering this to two 5" squares glued together, with the sides painted black. These small ink paintings really light up that small wall space that needs that special something.

Original Contemporary Abstract Mixed Media Alcohol Ink Painting "Breathless" by New Orleans Artist Lou Jordan

FRESH OFF THE EASEL......

"Breathless' is an abstract painting done with alcohol inks on Yupo. The color is deep and exciting with blues and a few pieces of orange and white. It speaks to me of pushing up from the depths, up into the light and the air, with deep breaths, to the space above. After my tiny gems (see earlier posts) at Christmas, I'm going larger. This impactful painting is adhered to an 9x12 panel, sides are black, and all are painted with acrylic gloss medium. It is truly extraordinary - like an ancient enamel.
